🏘️ What are the key challenges in coordinating multisector collaborations for complex social issues? Canto da Rua, a social organisation in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, used an open strategy approach to address homelessness. In collaboration with the Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC Business School) and other partners, the initiative involved extensive stakeholder participation, including internal and external actors, to develop a strategic plan, which integrated solutions like temporary housing, employment, and training, all while emphasising the involvement of the homeless as key participants. In the 15th edition of the Global Focus Magazine supplement on Excellence in Practice (EiP), we explore how, despite challenges of bias and coordination, the project successfully launched various programmes. 🏆 Learn more: ╰┈➤/bit.ly/GF-FDC Matthew Wood, Maria Elisa Brandão, Martin Moehrle, PhD, Florence Grégoire, Shanshan Ge 葛姗姗, Steven Smith, Natálie Altınçizme #EFMDeip #EFMDGlobalFocus #EFMDcorporateservices #partnerships #bestpractice

⭐ The EFMD Strategic Leadership Programme for Deans, held in Brussels last week, offered an intense three-day experience filled with insightful exchanges and learning. Participants benefited from a programme designed for deans to engage candidly under Chatham House rules, allowing for extensive, open discussions this year. Key takeaways included practical tips for improving leadership and guiding their institutions while maintaining personal well-being. Speakers emphasised transparency, bringing institutions along on the journey, and investing in people. Leaders were encouraged to "walk the talk" as their actions are always scrutinised and to foster collaboration by building strong teams. 🤝 A heartfelt thank you to all the deans, speakers, and facilitators for your active engagement and valuable insights, and for making this year's programme an inspiring success. 🙋🏻♀️ Student-centred education fosters autonomy and inclusivity but often engages only a few students. The Inclusive Programme Review (IPR) method offers a new approach to embedding equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in higher education by centring on student voices. As Radka Newton at Lancaster University explains, IPR invites entire degree cohorts to participate through creative, empathetic reflection exercises that foster the sharing of experiences beyond mere data points, revealing deeper emotional and personal insights from students. 📚 Learn more: ╰┈➤bit.ly/Students-IPR #highereducation #studentexperience #wellbeing #diversityandinclusion
