September was truly an exciting month! 🇫🇷 I had the honor of participating on September 19-20, at the 1𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐈𝐀𝐒𝐌 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞, where, together with my co-authors Michele Guidi and Marco Giuliani, I presented our work titled "𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐀 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚". 🎓 These conferences were a valuable opportunity for networking and academic debate, allowing me to share my research topics - #SocialMedia, #SustainabilityReporting, #SustainabilityScandal - and to connect with numerous researchers and professors who shared their passion and motivation for their work. EIASM and EDAMBA, with a long experience in doctoral training, have joined forces to offer a unique evidence-based training programme relevant to both new and experienced doctoral supervisors where participants exchange best practices, identify areas of development and discuss emerging trends. The consortium will be held at the ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Building 3 campus from the 8th to the 10th of January 2025. Program directors also reflect on their experiences and learn about supervisory practices in other institutions and the transformation of doctoral education, especially with the rise of AI and related emerging technologies.   Experienced faculty reflect on numerous successful completions as well as problem cases, and how they deal with the challenges of professionalization for both PhD and DBA candidates.   Junior faculty participating in the consortium interact in a safe environment and learn from experienced faculty about different perspectives on supervision beyond their specific experiences with their former supervisors across different schools We look forward to meeting you in Barcelona! Sooo, this was a nice surprise! 🏆 Last month, I kicked off the new academic year with the EIASM Public Sector Emerging Scholars Programme Award for my solo-authored paper "Sustaining Cooperation in Long-term Hybrids: Management Control as a Multi-level System". Special thanks to Deborah Agostino and Ileana Steccolini for chairing the ESP and conference and to Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University for hosting everything. Moreover, I would like to thank faculty and participants of the ENROAC Summer School for providing useful feedback on an earlier version. It was an honor to participate and present my paper at the recently concluded 10th EIASM Workshop on Audit Quality in the stunning city of Palermo. I am deeply thankful to Professor Marita Blomkvist for her insightful feedback and to all the participants for their valuable suggestions.
