About us
The European Network of Young Specialists in Sport Psychology is an altruistic association and pursues non-profit goals of public interest. The aims of ENYSSP are to give support in education, research, professional practice and service delivery to young people with official qualification or an interest in the field of Sport and Exercise Psychology.Within ENYSSP the young specialists are given a possibility to engage in an active role within the field of Sport and Exercise Psychology. The idea of a European Network of Young Specialists in Sports Psychology was born in July 1999 on the occasion of the 10th European Congress of Sports Psychology in Prague (Czech Republic). The factual association "ENYSSP" was founded at the first General Meeting held on the occasion of the 11th European Congress on Sports Psychology in Copenhagen (Denmark) in July 2003. Since the offical foundation of ENYSSP four different Management Councils have been in place which were led by the former presidents Xavier Sanchez (ESP), Caroline Jannes (BEL), and Fredrik Weibull (SWE), and the current president Peter Schneider (USA). As of January 2017 ENYSSP is legalized as an international non-profit association according to EU Law.
