📣 EuroGOOS is seeking a skilled and motivated Policy Officer to join our team! We are looking for an experienced Policy Officer to join our dedicated team and help coordinate projects supporting European ocean observing and forecasting. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, advancing scientific policy support, and managing ocean knowledge initiatives as part of our long-term strategy. The successful candidate will: 🔹 Coordinate #EuroGOOS activities, including Regional Operational Oceanographic Systems (ROOS), Working Groups (WG), and Task Teams (TT). 🔹 Contribute to the execution of EuroGOOS’s 2030 Strategy, focusing on climate observing, and build partnerships with key international initiatives and ocean observing systems. 🔹 Oversee and support the European Ocean Observing System (#EOOS) activities, especially within the EOOS Framework Steering Group. 🔹 Manage and participate in EuroGOOS-led and partnered EC projects, tracking project progress, coordinating meetings, drafting reports, and representing EuroGOOS in project-related forums. 🔹 Organise EuroGOOS workshops, webinars, and conferences, ensuring effective planning, documentation, and reporting. 🌍 If you’re ready to make a difference in ocean policy and management, we’d love to hear from you! 🌊✨ For a detailed job description and application instructions, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/ebdAeQzd

🌊 Introducing the "Architecture Guide" by #OceanPredictionDCC🌍 We’re thrilled to announce the release of OceanPrediction DCC Architecture Guide – a comprehensive resource on building interoperable ocean forecasting systems.  🔧 This interactive guide identifies the essential tools, data standards, and the “wiring” needed to develop one of these systems. It aims to facilitate its development by:  - Providing detailed wiring diagrams on how these systems are internally built  - Promoting interoperable architectures, taking advantage of the Digital Twining concept.  - Identifying the common tools and data standards to be developed and implemented. By adopting this architecture, institutions worldwide can implement robust, interoperable services that will be easier to maintain, enhancing ocean forecasting capabilities globally.
