    When wildfires rage in one European country, all of Europe remains on standby.     Recently, we visited the EU’s 𝗘mergency 𝗥esponse 𝗖oordination 𝗖entre (ERCC) in Brussels.     Renaissance begins with a second chance.    The new EU rules on the Right to Repair enter into force today!     They will support consumers in repairing their defective products instead of replacing them by:    🔸 obliging producers of certain products, such as fridges and smartphones, to offer timely repair service at a reasonable price;  🔹 requiring these manufacturers to offer spare parts   🔸 extending the legal guarantee for the repaired product;  🔹 creating a European repair platform to find suitable repairers. Consumers will be producing less waste and greenhouse gas emissions, saving resources, and spending less on new purchases.
