British, German, and French travellers are most eager to travel. 🚞 Popular destinations like Spain, France, and Italy remain in focus, but travellers are increasingly drawn to lesser-known locations within these countries. 💶 While trip budgets are a top priority, European travellers are becoming less concerned about costs as their spending per trip continues to grow. ✈ "Tourism and transport are inseparable. To secure the future of travel, we must prioritise decarbonising aviation now. Many remote and insular tourism destinations rely exclusively on their airports as gateways". ETC President Miguel Sanz was delighted to participate in ACI EUROPE's Economic Symposium yesterday, contributing a tourism perspective to the critical discussion on achieving sustainable and competitive air connectivity. With tourism and transport now under one roof at the European Commission, ETC is hopeful that tourism will play a greater role in shaping future transportation policies and developments. Thank you to Enrico Letta, Olivier Jankovec, Armando Brunini, Miriam Ryan, Arnaud Feist, Aletta von Massenbach and Andrew Charlton for an insightful discussion!
