Congratulations to European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA) and European Transport Workers' Federation for launching the European Maritime Skills Forum at today's event. This necessary initiative will help policy makers and the industry identify the skills and worker profiles that will be needed in the future of the shipping sector. The Forum goes in line with GREENPORT Alliances objectives: to reduce the environmental impact of the port services sector through the acquisition of new green skills by cadets, crews, pilots and tugmasters.

ETA became 62 years old yesterday. From representing ten members in six European states to being the voice of the port towage industry in the continent, with a combined fleet of more than 800 tugs.

The ETA Secretariat is attending today the 1st Meeting of the European Maritime Space (EMS) Forum. The EMS is the maritime component of the European corridors policy, a key element to achieve the Commission's goals for the new term 2024-2029: competitive, resilient and greener ports, a thriving shipping sector and seamless maritime connections.
