The Pet Alliance is a collaboration between AnimalhealthEurope, FVE - Federation of Veterinarians of Europe and FECAVA and FEDIAF - The European Pet Food Industry. Every year we gather in Brussels to celebrate #PetPower and if you missed this year's event, you can watch this video for a recap! As always, it was a wonderful way to celebrate pets and the way they enhance our lives. This year we were lucky to have Marie Jose Enders-Slegers from IAHAIO as our speaker and Petras Austrevicius to award our photo competition prizes. 👉 To read more about the Pet Alliance: https://lnkd.in/eFTJUikc

During #ADHD Awareness Month, we would like to spotlight research that shows benefits for many neurodiverse children. The impact can be huge. In addition to emotionally valuable companionship, pets can create a calming atmosphere and reduce some symptoms commonly associated with ASD and ADHD. At FEDIAF, every day we focus on the health of our pets through nutrition. However, on #WorldAnimalDay, we want to spotlight the work done around the world to support pets and their welfare. In particular, at a European level, we welcome the work undertaken by the dedicated Intergroups such as the Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals. We are grateful for the hard work of new President Niels Fuglsang, working alongside Tilly Metz, Anja Hazekamp and team. 👉 To read FEDIAF's Pet Welfare position paper: https://lnkd.in/et3PghTu

We love talking about #PetPower and on World Heart Day, we are sharing some research which spotlights the benefits of pet interaction on cardiovascular health. Dog ownership is often linked to increased physical activity and social support but studies have looked at the link to a reduced risk of heart attacks and also improved outcomes after cardiovascular events. 👉 https://lght.ly/6kf8np6 #PetPower #WorldHeartDay
