🚦#IENE2024 We are excited to announce that Edgar A. van der Grift will be a key speaker at the IENE International Conference 2024! 🌍 His presentation, "Evaluating Road Mitigation Effectiveness: The Road Ahead of Us," will delve into the impacts of habitat fragmentation on wildlife and the measures to restore habitat connectivity. Edgar A. van der Grift serves as a senior research scientist at Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands. His extensive research focuses on: - Habitat fragmentation impacts on wildlife populations - Effectiveness of measures such as landscape linkages, ecological corridors, and wildlife crossing structures In addition to his scientific work, Edgar advises policy makers, road planners, and conservation groups on creating effective ecological networks and road mitigation measures. He contributes to the development of design principles for ecological corridors and integrates ecological knowledge into transportation policies.
