Almost 3 years ago, I got the opportunity to re-design and re-organise 4 different teams at The HEINEKEN Company. A wide range of specialists in engineering, innovation and science originating from Headoffice departments #Commerce, #Research and #Development. We transformed ourselves into one team, known as our #Innovation Matrix department at Global R&D today.
Along the road, we faced many challenges and opportunities. Most important in my role was to keep energizing the team and re-energizing during setbacks while laying the foundation for agile Ways of Working in a matrix. And in parallel, designing structure and progression with new R&D Hubs to collaborate smarter in our worldwide network. We have established and proven our sprint WAVE review days as our agile framework to enable cross-fertilization and team focus in the R&D foundation. A framework that we now fully embrace to keep moving ahead with newest knowledge and technology in the heart of our Innovation network.
The TripleC People ambition, which I shaped in May 2021 as our leading people compass, succeeded to bring drumbeat along our multi-year road. A vision on a page that gave me focus to deliver with impact together while unleashing full potential of both individual and team.
Last week, we had time to reflect on our journey. In Lichtenvoorde, we enjoyed a true moment of togetherness. While we were hunting for treasures in a 2-day innovation workshop, enthusiastically facilitated by Haystack Consulting, we also had spare time to enjoy self-made food and walking in the beautiful nature. People having fun over multi-cultural dishes, playing kups and listening to music, together with a nice range of cooled 0.0 drinks from our own draught systems.
The picture tells it all. I am grateful for my work with my team. And for the sun that was shining onto the team. Team: You made our day! You keep inspiring me!
