🌎 18 Countries across the LAC region are making significant strides in digital health transformation. 🏃♂️The third #PH4H Connectathon is currently taking place in Bogotá, Colombia to test 2 tracks based on the enablers that are considered essential for the region: - Cross Border Continuity of Care: The goal of this track is for each of the participants to generate their own international patient summary based on the IPS-LAC profile and make available via VHL (Verifiable Health Link) enabling user-mediated data exchange and mobile exchange of Health documents. - Digital vaccination certificates: The goal of this track is that each participant gets to generate, interoperate and validate an immunization certificate, based on the WHO DVC profile. The Pan-American Highway for Digital Health #PH4H is supported by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Pan American Health Organization. IHE International and IHE Catalyst are proud to collaborate with this pivotal step in transforming healthcare across Latin America and the Caribbean. Happy to update that the WHO Regional Office for Europe’s Strategic Partners’ Initiative for Data and #DigitalHealth (SPI-DDH) is well underway and going strong! More than 100 institutions from 24 countries are working together towards a future where all patients and healthcare workers can benefit from safe, affordable, and person-centred digital solutions for health 👫📲🧑🏻⚕️. Now that we are in the final stretch of 2024, I can confidently say that launching this ambitious initiative was among the key highlights for our Data, Evidence and Digital Health team this year. So, we are very excited to share a detailed report from the first SPI-DDH meeting back in June, so you can browse through it and learn more about this important work: https://lnkd.in/dy3H5zyD The SPI-DDH is WHO/Europe’s commitment to all 53 countries in the WHO European Region to deliver on the Regional Digital Health Action Plan, which puts collaboration🤝 and knowledge exchange💡 at its core. A huge thank you to the whole team for making this possible, to all the participants for your dedication and expertise, to Clayton Hamilton for leading this project, and to Natasha Azzopardi Muscat for your constant support🙏. Looking forward to sharing more SPI-DDH updates in the future! In the meantime, you can learn more about the Initiative here: https://lnkd.in/e2wqPsBJ
