🌍 Did you know that over 850 million people—1 in 10 globally—are living with kidney disease? When caught early, it can be stabilized, yet it remains severely under-prioritized in global health policy. During #UNGA in NYC, Valerie Luyckx, MBBCh, MSc, PhD and Kevin Fowler emphasized this critical gap. Despite its significant impact, kidney disease is missing from the World Health Organization's list of leading causes of premature mortality, which includes cancer, heart disease, stroke, chronic lung disease, and diabetes. This isn’t just an oversight—it’s a major policy gap that affects millions. 🖊️ This is where your voice counts. By signing our petition, you can help push for the urgent recognition that kidney disease deserves. Together, we can urge United Nations Member States to call on the WHO to prioritize kidney disease and help save millions of lives. Your support can make a world of difference. Let's ensure kidney health is on the global agenda. Sign the petition: https://ow.ly/RT4v50TLOrP+ #KidneyHealth #GlobalHealth #PetitionForChange #ActNow #UNGA Devex
