Did you know that according to a legend we owe coffee to goats? It all started in Ethiopia around 300 A.D.: • 🐐 Kaldi, a goat herder, found his goats suspiciously boosted with energy  • 🍒 He discovered this energy came from eating some unknown berries. • ⛪ Excited, he shared the news with the monks of a nearby monastery. • 🚫 The monks didn’t appreciate his discovery, and the beans were thrown in the fire • 🔥 one young monk took the cooling beans from the fire pit and threw them into water to cool • ☕ He took a sip of the first coffee ever and noticed that the beverage kept him alert throughout that evening's long hours of prayer. Soon, the news of these magical, energizing berries began to spread east and reach the Arabian peninsula.  From its allegedly use in monasteries to its essential role in our modern workplaces, coffee has been helping us stay focused and give our best at work. This is Anne-Christine, Ankie for everyone, our Customer Relations Specialist. For 20 years, Ankie has been one of the key members of our Customer Care team at JDE Professional Belgium ☕.  Her journey at JDE began after a 20-year career at the airport 👩✈️, where she held various roles, from customer assistance to managing up to 25 people.  Her exceptional problem-solving and Customer Care skills didn’t go unnoticed when she arrived at JDE in the Sales Department, and she was immediately asked to help creating our Customer Care department from scratch. Known for her honesty and pragmatism, Ankie has earned the trust and loyalty of many customers: “Every email that enters my mailbox is urgent. For me, every customer is important, whether small, big, or medium”. Ankie's unique ability to connect with people and solve problems 👩🔧 with a straightforward approach makes her an invaluable asset, essential in building JDE’s reputation for excellent service. To this day, people wonder how she can understand every customer’s problem through a simple phone call 📞: “First, learn the basics” she says “the rest, you learn by working on different cases”.
