The KU Leuven Laser Micromanufacturing team is thrilled to share some recent progress in 5-axis femtosecond laser micromachining of freeform surfaces. Our latest video showcases the remarkable capabilities of this technology, achieving precise texture patterns on inner surfaces of bearing components, opening up a world of possibilities for the realization of complex and detailed surface texturing designs for multiple applications. Special thanks to the master thesis students Tibe Van Remoortel and Lucas Geeraerts and to their mentor Kerim Yildirim for their significant contributions to 5-axis machining research throughout the academic year.
