📣 #Fortnite will not only return to iOS in the EU, but also in the UK! ⚖️The UK passed a new competition law allowing Fortnite to return on iOS devices after being pulled due to a legal dispute between Apple and Epic Games. 🔎Consider that #Roblox is a lot bigger than Fortnite in terms of active users, and most of the Roblox players are mobile players (over 70%!). So it shows that the return to mobile for Fortnite has great potential to be a big push forward! 🕵️There is one nuance to make. Fortnite and Roblox are not considered direct competitors, and Fortnite requires a lot more computing power to render compared to Roblox. So don't expect that many Roblox players will suddenly switch to Fortnite. But Fortnite will have a bigger pool to bring new players into its ecosystem.

🔥 Incredibly proud to announce that the RipRoken campaign has been shortlisted in three categories for the Creative Belgium Awards! It's shortlisted in the following categories: - Media -> Digital Media - Digital -> Interactive Apps - Direct -> Experiental 🚭 We designed a custom Smoke Monster called "SmokeZilla" to embody all the negative effects of smoking, such as yellow teeth, black lungs, and blindness. 🤝 Our campaign features a unique Fortnite map filled with challenges, including Tar Monsters, a radioactive lake, a maze, and SmokeZilla as the final boss. 🤝 It was fantastic to collaborate with our amazing partners DVLR DDB & Unlocked to create this impactful campaign for Kom op tegen Kanker!

The cliché seems to be true, because the gruesome Fortnite monster we created for Kom op tegen Kanker (vzw) conquered 3 spots in the Creative Belgium Awards shortlist. And never in a million years could I have built that thing alone. So, big big thanks to my former teammate and forever friend Nicolas de Beauffort, my boss Kwint De Meyer, my colleagues at DVLR DDB (Eline, Fiona, Antoine, Glenn and many more), the expertise of Unlocked, Mapshot and Nell Dumortier, Kom op tegen Kanker (vzw) and the balls they had to do things differently. 🫶🏻

👀Just a fun "Did you know?" to start off the week. In every game/experience we have created, we've always hidden a rubber ducky in the map. It became a hidden easter egg/signature, making each creation more Mapshot. 🦆 But it's about time we made it a true Mapshot Ducky! 🙏 Thank you, Pasquale Fantetti, for creating it!
