Today marks the last day of the Fashion Revolution Week. Fashion Revolution is a global movement that raises awareness and promotes transparency, sustainability, and ethical practices throughout the fashion supply chain. Within the latest Fashion Transparancy Index 2023, you can read up on the many initiatives we, as consumers, but also the fashion companies need to take to improve the horrible traces that the fashion industry is leaving behind today. Isn't fashion business supposed to be more of a two-day dialogue? Simply put, this is what i would recommend to fashion companies: 💡Take a critical look at the amount of produced items you send out into the world, and analyse how much of that stock ends up not being sold? 💡 Work on getting more data intelligence on your buying customer, what their needs are, what they look like 💡 Use that intelligence and infuse it back into your designing and/or buying departments. Are you producing/selling the right clothing items, tailored to the needs of your customers? To be future-proof and in line with the climate goals, data-driven decision making in the fashion industry is needed more than ever. Contour Lab does not only transform the online shopping experience, making it easier for the consumer to buy the right items, to wear those items longer, and to lower wrong purchases and therefore the returns.
