Onze - MyGrid x OpenRemote - lokale aanpak van netcongestie in de schijnwerpers. Sorry, only available in Dutch, so let me translate the article in a couple of lines. We have developed an EMS that reacts to grid congestion signals. These signals activate our ModuleOne plug-and-play batteries in the field, alleviating the congestion of the local grid. Grid congestion is one of the biggest challenges of the energy transition, so we are happy to be part of the solution. On this International Day of Energy Efficiency, we’d like to highlight the importance of intelligent energy management systems. ModuleOne is more than a plug-and-play battery. It is a device powered by a smart energy management system that enhances efficiency by ⚡︎ providing real-time insights enabling consumers to adapt their energy usage ⚡︎ increasing solar self-consumption ⚡︎ reducing curtailment, ensuring that excess solar energy is stored and used instead of being wasted ⚡︎ shifting time of use from when energy is generated to when it is needed, reducing reliance on the grid ⚡︎ optimizing the energy usage of all your IoT devices (heat pump, EV charging station, dryer, ...) ⚡︎ helping to balance supply and demand for a more resilient grid The best thing? All above measures save you money and reduce your carbon footprint. What's not to love? #energy #innovation #battery #technology

A smart plug-and-play home battery combined with a dynamic price contract equals energy bill saving on steroids. 💪🏼 In 2023, Belgium noted 219 hours with negative prices. Mid 2024 we had already had 262 hours of negative prices. 😮 Now imagine you had had a ModuleOne with a dynamic contract: you would have been paid to charge it. Not free energy, yet PAID energy... 😎 The good news is that most Belgian energy suppliers have dynamic price plans, all you need to do is ask them to switch to such a plan, and make sure you have a smart home battery like ModuleOne to harvest the benefits of the energy transition. #energy #battery #innovation #technology

Building a prototype is one thing, bringing a product to market is another. Unlike prototypes, market-ready products must comply with strict regulations and safety standards. To ensure ModuleOne meets all necessary certifications, we made key design adjustments: ⚡️The base, which houses the charger/inverter, was enlarged to accommodate a mandatory safety fuse. ⚡️The standard outlet was replaced with a 12-volt plug for enhanced safety and compliance. These changes bring us one step closer to delivering a certified, reliable solution for our customers. Innovation doesn’t stop at the first iteration, it’s about refining and adapting until you achieve the best possible product. How do you like the new design? #innovation #battery #technology

ModuleOne is in production and will hit the market soon. Now why should you order one? Well, here's a short list. ⚡︎ hassle-free: just plug into any socket and play ⚡︎ works with/without solar panels ⚡︎ increase solar self-consumption (solar) ⚡︎ charge when prices are low - discharge when prices peak (no solar) ⚡︎ avoid injection tariffs ⚡︎ shave peaks ⚡︎ open ecosystem => smart home integrations ⚡︎ get rewards for helping to balance the grid (flexibility) ⚡︎ lower your carbon footprint ⚡︎ control your energy usage ⚡︎ lower your energy bills Have we mentioned how the smart MyGrid ecosystem behind ModuleOne can help you optimise the energy usage of all your IoT devices at home saving you extra money? Get in charge of your energy and start lowering your bill. #plugandplay #battery #technology #innovation

The winter holidays gave us time to reflect upon our roadmap. By successfully raising funding and attracting subsidies, the future is looking bright. At the end of the year, we started up our first production batch. A milestone that came with some emotions: it marked the end of two and a half years of preparations, countless hours of research, calculations, design drafts, feedback rounds, improvements, technical analyses, finetuning, developing, building prototype after prototype, writing code, embedding software, soldering PCBs, name it. Then a first big commercial test: our Kickstarter campaign. Luckily there appeared to be a market for our revolutionary plug and play home battery. We sold more units than we had hoped for, and the media attention around our campaign and multiple design awards led to more enthusiasm. Electricity suppliers and grid distributors reached out, so you could say our B2C efforts resulted in B2B interest. But back to the beginning: milestones. Raising funds and starting up our production marks a new start. And with that new start, a lot of enthusiasm! #plugandplay #battery #technology #innovation

The news you have all been waiting for! ModuleOne is going in production, and the funds will take MyGrid to the next level. Phase two has started, so bring it on!
Exciting MyGrid news: we’ve successfully closed our funding round! First and foremost, a huge thank you to my co-founder Jan for his unwavering determination to make MyGrid and ModuleOne a success. Two and a half years of bootstrapping, countless hurdles, and far more nays than yays. Yet Jan kept pushing on. A prime example? Just three days after his daughter was born, he was back on stage pitching. Redefining commitment. 🙌🏻 I also want to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to MyGrid and the development of our smart plug-and-play home battery. Without you, none of this would have been possible. And let's not forget the people who believed in us from day one by pre-ordering a ModuleOne. 🙏🏻 A special thanks to Aelbrecht and The Harbour. Their expertise and guidance have been instrumental in making this funding round a success. With their support, we’re now ready to move ModuleOne into production and roll out our go-to-market strategy. The real work starts now! #startup #funding

We are not fans of Black Friday. Pushing people to buy stuff they don't need is not in line with our mission and vision. Yet, what if the product you are selling, is a climate solution that can reduce your carbon footprint by over 200 kilograms a year? To give you an idea of 200 kilograms of CO2, think of a large piano. Make it a black one for the CO2. 😉 Is it still crazed consumerism if you inspire people to buy a carbon reducing solution?
