The end of the Dauphins in Africa NHV Group strategically decided to modernise the Abidjan fleet last year, replacing the ageing Dauphin AS365N3 with state-of-the-art Leonardo AW169s. The first AW169, (reg TU-HNA), arrived at our base in Abidjan in November 2023, marking a historic moment as the first of its kind in West Africa! Since the AW169 joined NHV Côte d’Ivoire’s operations, there have been noticeable enhancements in both performance and safety. And with that, it is the end of an era for operating the Dauphin in Africa. Last week, the two remaining Dauphin aircraft, (reg TU-NHE and the TU-HNH) were shipped to the Port of Abidjan. Shortly they will set sail to the Port of Antwerp, with the estimated arrival on 05/11. A special thanks to Geert Landuyt, May Verledens and the Ivory Coast team for organising the transport of the two Dauphins! #NHVGroup #Dauphin #AW169
