Discover how the VERA platform is making it easier for citizen scientists to connect, organize, and fund their research. In the latest Open Knowledge article,"How the VERA Platform Helps Citizen Scientists Collaborate," Carol Delmazo and Alessia Smaniotto highlight a real-world example from Lisbon, where researchers, activists, policymakers, and local residents joined forces to study the impact of mass tourism on their community. The VERA platform—co-designed with citizen science practitioners—helps users: ✅ Discover and join SSH citizen science projects ✅ Connect with potential research partners ✅ Manage projects with tailored tools ✅ Find funding opportunities With support from the OPERAS Research Infrastructure, VERA continues to evolve based on community feedback, bridging digital and physical spaces, including libraries, to support knowledge-sharing and collaboration. 👓 Read the full article and sign up for the Katina News Roundup here: https://lnkd.in/eGzs_ZDm #CitizenScience #OpenKnowledge #VERAPlatform #ResearchCollaboration #SSH #KatinaMagazine #OpenAccess #ScholarlyCommunication #ResearchSharing #Tech #AcademicLibraries #Libraries #Librarians #InformationSharing #Research #Information #Science #KnowledgeSharing #CharlestonHub Tony Zanders Jill Emery Curtis Brundy Leah Hinds Elizabeth Weiss
