About us
Purfi is the leader in fiber rejuvenation technology which focuses on the strategic categorization and classification of textile fabric waste, and the subsequent processing of these materials using patented and trade secret protected machinery and process techniques. Purfi is unlike any traditional textile recycler in the world because we produce rejuvenated fibers from textile waste which are as long and, in most cases, stronger than their virgin origins. Purfi distinguishes itself from traditional recycling which in most cases typically uses aggressive mechanical tearing, resulting in mostly downcycled end-products, or caustic chemicals and high resource costs, which produces an expensive end-product. Purfi’s rejuvenation technology transforms post-industrial textile waste into truly sustainable circular fibers while maintaining an extremely low carbon footprint. Purfi’s technologies make use of every fiber captured in its process resulting in “Zero Waste” from the customer’s materials. Purfi Sourcing technology provides complete transparency throughout the Supply Chain for its customers since Purfi can track raw materials from their origin at the manufacturer to the final product at the Purfi rejuvenation facility. We can rejuvenate any fiber whether manmade or natural. Purfi is OEKO TEX, GRS, ECOCERT, and REACH certified. Find out more about us at www.purfi.com

From waste to value At Circular Textile Days 2024, Purfi showcased their groundbreaking technology that recycles textile waste back to its original quality. Unlike traditional methods, Purfi’s process produces high-quality fibers and yarns from post-industrial and post-consumer waste, ready for use in shirts, sweaters, towels, and denim. Their goal for 2024 is to process 750 tons of textile waste, with plans to scale up to 1,500 tons, driving down the need for virgin fibers. Key Insights from CTD 2024: ☑️ Circular Textile Days provided Purfi the ideal platform to highlight their cutting-edge products alongside Concordia Textiles. ☑️ While sustainability remains a priority, many brands are waiting for clear legislation before fully committing to recycled materials. ☑️ Timely regulations are essential to support recycling efforts and secure the future of circular businesses. Let’s stay connected: Although CTD 2024 has come to an end, we still warmly invite you to connect with Purfi. If you’re a brand, manufacturer, or industry player seeking to integrate recycled content into high-quality products at scale, Purfi offers the solutions to help you make a sustainable impact. Let’s work together to shape the future of circular textiles!

📚 Some Monday literature to get your week started. Too many clothes, mostly made of petroleum, that become waste too quickly: the fashion industry has gotten stuck in its own low-cost model. In a series about "Fast Fashion: our clothes as disposable products?", De Standaard examines how we can get out of this model. In this article, Koen De Ruyck, our rockstar GM from Purfi shares his insights on recycling textiles and Europe's changing legislation. 🇳🇱 Dutch article: https://lnkd.in/e-RJTB28 🇬🇧 English article: https://lnkd.in/eeaWswwx #circulareconomy #recyclingtextiles #cotton #recycledcotton
