At our recent company event, the inspirational speaker Sofie Fransen asked us to stay silent for 60 seconds—a minute that felt super long but proved immensely powerful. Sofie, with her rich experience as a surgeon performing 6 to 7 surgeries a day, emphasized the importance of brief but vital pauses. She and her team used these moments to recharge, ensuring focus and precision to “ensure everyone’s knife stay sharp”. She introduced us to the SHARP framework: - Speak out loud – Voice concerns and share ideas. - High performing – Strive for excellence in all we do. - Alertness and focus – Stay present and attentive. - Rests and breaks – Take time to recharge. - Preparation and prioritization – Plan ahead for success.
