💥 Last week we celebrated the 5th anniversary of SuReal in our lovely offices in #brussels. Relive some of the fantastic moments in this #aftermovie. Our anniversary was fully in line with the “SuReal way” from the local sourcing of the technicians to the vibe on the dancefloor. Our managing director Sunita Van Heers shared Sureal’s story and our view on the future of sustainable real estate. We wanted to highlight the #value co-creation we all had during these 5 years. It was not just the celebration of 5 years SuReal. It was also 5 years of successful partnerships and realizations in sustainable real estate. Therefore we wanted to create a “once-in-a-lifetime” special #act. An act that showed these collaborations in an artistic way. We had the honor of having Frederic Van der Planken, Stéphan Sonneville, Xavier Callens, Virginie Terlinden and Sunita Van Heers bringing their best singing performance on this special day. We walk the talk: our offices are located in a #BREEAM certified building! 📜 We have now officially handed over the BREEAM In-Use certificate for the Victoria Tower to our client Baltisse Real Estate. The iconic 1970’s IBM tower was fully renovated and converted into a vibrant #mixed-use building. Covering over 24.000 m², it is one of the largest examples of mixed-use in Brussels. It now houses the offices of SuReal and WPP as well as The Hoxton hotel and its affiliate restaurant, café, rooftop bar and coworking space Working From_ . Next to the BREEAM Official certification, SuReal also performed a due diligence of the #energy concept and provided guidance regarding #circular economy. The main structure was preserved and a #geothermal system provides passive cooling. Spotlight on our school campus project with Befimmo The old Beobank NV/SA building in Ixelles will be converted into a multifunctional educational campus. The project will consist of two secondary schools, sports infrastructure, a theatre hall and a community centre. We're prioritizing circular construction, preserving much of the existing structure and reusing materials in-situ. SuReal’s role in the project includes: 👉 Providing guidance on material selection through multi-criteria analysis 👉 Calculating the carbon emissions avoided by re-using existing materials 👉 Performing Life Cycle Assessments (#LCA) during both the design and post-construction phases Architecture: B2Ai architects #schoolcampus #circularconstruction

🏆 Our project K-NOPY won a Realty Belgium award for ‘Best Impactful Real Estate Project’! Thanks to its green roofs, photovoltaic panels and absence of fossil fuels, this project reached an exceptional #BREEAM Outstanding rating of 98,2%. SuReal was also responsible for the #EPB. The building is now used by the Nederlandse ambassade in België and the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU.
