On the 29th of march, we had the 2nd trainingday of the #welcometalents program provided by WPP 👨🏾🏫 This time it was Creative Belgium to bring amazing insight 🤓 From learning to cross boundaries as a creative to seeing some worldclass commercials, made me realise once more that it is more than just making pretty videos, posters, books… 🌸 And with the The Book Club.eu we had a lovely time in the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KMSKA) talking about some interesting topics. 📚 Again a day to remember! Thank you to everyone involved. Thanks Delphine Geyskens, Kota K., Isabel Van den Broeck, Fien Van Puyenbroeck, Kriticos M.. 😀

Marketing & Advertising l Media Strategy

A post from a heart full of gratitude: One week ago, as part of the WPP program #WelcomeTalent, I had the opportunity to attend a super inspiring session at Creative Belgium, led by Isabel Van den Broeck. With her captivating real-life examples and experience, she unveiled new horizons of creativity in advertising. What surprised me the most? How ideas can become a meaningful solution in this industry! Later, we embarked on a journey to the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KMSKA) museum. After an hour of appreciating the art there, we had a private mentoring initiative led by Kriticos M. from The Book Club.eu. Through book quotes and questions related to them, we touched on different topics ranging from battling impostor syndrome to navigating complexities in the workplace. The main learning? We all have fears and insecurities and, at the same time, we are all full of talent ready to share with the world! Many thanks to Isabel, Kriticos, and everyone who contributed to this enriching experience. And to Delphine Geyskens, whose dedication made it all possible, you are simply incredible! Thank you for lighting up our paths and empowering us to shine brighter. You all rock!

The Book Club XL — Brussels🇧🇪: Conversations About Racism. In honour of the international day for the elimination of Racial Discrimination, The Book Club.eu was invited by The City of Brussels to organise The Book Club XL at top floor of the Brucity building. We had a conversation in French AND English with the philosophers Marie Dasylva Sung-Shim Courier , Dorrie Wilson , Tarik Ben Bouazza and Wahiba Yachou ! We talked about: • Navigating the professional world through the eyes of a racialised person. • How adoption is a seldom discussed remnant of Colonialism. • The American Negro league in the early 20th century and the importance of giving grace to black mediocrity. • The Importance of giving university students of colour, a level platform with their white counterparts, in regard to funding and student unions. Many thanks to the team at Ville de Bruxelles - Stad Brussel and to all the people that came and joined the conversation, and especially to the philosophers at the table.
