(Yes, you read it right ⤵️)   To celebrate the 🔥 new special edition of our smallest city car, fitted with a massive sound system - the Toyota Aygo X JBL - we invite you to tune in to the 'Sound of Noise'. 🔊 The 'Sound of Noise' is a mini album with tracks created by, about and with the new Aygo X JBL. "If I could sit next to that little girl today, I would whisper: Dream big and fight for it." Last month we brought together an incredible group of local school girls and inspiring women from Toyota Motor Europe for a morning of inspiration, aspiration and creativity. Our #ThisLittleGirlIsMe event was all about empowering the next generation of STEAM leaders to see their future selves as bold, ambitious, and limitless! Introduced by Monica Perez Lobo (She / Her), our panel of role models shared their personal journeys - reflecting on their younger selves, the challenges they faced and lessons learned along the way. The energy in the room was high as the girls jumped into our ‘This Woman Could Be Me’ workshop, visualising their future selves and sharing their dreams for the future. From Formula One to NASA, their career aspirations truly were as limitless as their imaginations. The highlight of the day was seeing the genuine connections formed between the girls and the role models—sharing their passions, experiences, and hopes for the future. Moments like these remind us why our work matters: hearing a young girl say she hopes to one day do the job of the woman beside her is proof of the powerful impact of seeing someone who inspires you, and knowing that you can achieve the same. A huge thank you to all the amazing women who made this day such a success— the fantastic Monica Perez Lobo and Desiree Lawrance, our incredible panellists: Leila Sharifian, Andrea M. Born in Spain, Coral Felipe Gracia has also lived in Sweden and Belgium. During her studies of Chemical Engineering 🧪, Coral cultivated her passion for the energy field. This passion led her to an intern position at #Toyota four years ago 💪 Now Coral is a Material Engineer researching new energy solutions, such as green hydrogen production and CO2 conversion technologies, that can contribute to carbon neutrality. Coral has been also part of the Yosh-E development team. On Tuesday, we broke the ground for a state-of-the-art anaerobic digester at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s Deeside Engine Plant site. Expected to be completed by the end of 2025, this innovative project will place the plant at the forefront of decarbonised manufacturing globally. 🏭 This cutting-edge technology will ♻ convert 180,000 tonnes of waste annually 🔋 into biomethane and electricity to be used at the manufacturing plant 🌱 avoiding 2,900 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year and 👩🌾 supporting local farmers with nutrient-rich compost #Toyota #sustainability #decarbonisation #circulareconomy #manufacturing

Let’s Meet Azenor Ollivier 🙌     Half French and half Burkinabe, Azenor grew up across India, Brazil, and the Netherlands. She received her bachelor's in mathematics and is currently pursuing a master's degree in systems and control.      Azenor Ollivier, though only a month into her internship with the Vehicle Performance Engineering's Driving Simulator team, is already making a mark. She is developing a virtual driver model to assess vehicle performance 🚙. Andrea M. Rios Lazcano is a Vehicle Performance Engineer, working on automated driving (AD) functions and understanding driver behaviour, building ever safer future mobility solutions.     To ensure the best user experience, automated driving systems must understand driver behaviour in various situations. By analysing these behaviours, Andrea’s work helps vehicles not only follow the rules but also anticipate real-world actions, enhancing road safety for everyone.    She began her journey with an international mindset, studying Industrial Engineering in Spain and later specialising in Intelligent Vehicles at TU Delft in the Netherlands. Her drive and international mindset come from her mother, who was a single parent and a powerful role model. She taught her resilience, self-belief, and the importance of standing up for herself as the key 🗝️ to turning the impossible into reality!      In her private life, Andrea is as passionate about her hobbies as she is about her career. Whether it's playing basketball 🏀 or hiking and exploring new places 🚶♀️, she keeps herself constantly engaged with new challenges and adventures. Her latest challenge? “As a child I loved helping renovate her parents’ home with her family. It’s there that I understood that all jobs can be learnt, and that you can always improve with practice”, says Silvia Pérez Sánchez    Born in the Canary Islands, Silvia studied at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria before moving to Belgium to attend the University of Liege. Initially undecided about her career path, she discovered her passion for vehicle engineering during an Erasmus Exchange.    She began her career at #Toyota as a contractor, gradually advancing within the evaluation team to handle various components such as manual transmissions, electric motors, and hybrid transmissions. With 8 years of experience, Silvia is now a Powertrain Engineer specializing in battery testing. She appreciates the unexpected challenges her role brings and enjoys applying creativity to find the most efficient solutions.    Silvia’s contributions at Toyota Motor Europe go well beyond her job description. She is part of the Gender Diversity Network ⚥, where together with Andrea M. Let’s meet Leila Sharifian! 👋 Leila's career journey is a testament to relentless ambition and passion. Coming from Iran, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering, Leila's passion for learning led her to Switzerland, where she completed her PhD in Zurich. After her extensive academic journey, she moved to Belgium✈️ to work for Toyota. Leila has been with Toyota for 12 years, starting in the powertrain department, focusing initially on diesel and gasoline engines and their environmental impact. As the automotive industry evolved, so did her role. She now works on electric motors and batteries for electric vehicles 🔋, advancing sustainable transportation. Outside of her professional achievements, Leila finds balance by immersing herself in nature🌳 and cherishing playful moments with her children.
