Starting the day the Turtle way! We make mornings magical with our delicious cereals. They are made from clean organic ingredients and full of fun and flavour. Are you ready for better breakfast?

Do you read labels of the food you buy? I’m totally a label reader! Before buying a food product, I will turn the pack around and read the label. I always read the list of ingredients first. I believe that if you use good, natural ingredients, the nutritionals will follow. But I also check the nutrition values, just to make sure that there is not too much fat, sugar and salt, and that there is enough protein and fibre. I also prefer organic and usually buy the ingredients from scratch rather than ready-made dishes. A healthy lifestyle is imperative to me as a person, a mother and an entrepreneur. I want my children to grow up strong and healthy and I believe their meals are important to achieve this. And of course, if you want your children to eat healthy, it has to be tasty 😋 So taste is super important. These are also the criteria I apply, when I create products for Turtle. Good organic ingredients and great taste. So all of us and our children can live a healthy life. How about you. Do you know how to avoid glucose spikes? Actually it’s quite easy. You have to “dilute” the sugar in your food, so that your body doesn’t get sugar alert signals. One way of doing this is by eating other things first (like a meal before the dessert). For cereals, we recommend to add protein and good fats to your bowl. The protein can be yoghurt or a chia pudding. Fats can come from nut butter, nuts and seeds. Another way is to add some oat to the sweeter cereals, adding protein and fibre and reducing the overall sweetness of your breakfast. It’s that easy and it’s even more delicious. Do you know what to look for, when choosing your porridge? 🔎 Porridge is supposed to be one of the healthiest choices for breakfast cereals. However, that is not always the case… Here is some simple advice to make sure your porridge is actually good for you. Of course this applies to porridge mixes, if you buy plain organic oats you’re good. 👉 Read the ingredients list. The only things you should find are oats, dried fruit, seeds, nuts, spices, cocoa and occasionally chocolate or candied orange. 👉 What should not be in your porridge: - added sugar - milk powder (oat is super creamy) - added flavour (using flavours is cheating you from the real ingredients. Go for the porridge that actually contains what it’s supposed to taste like. - No milk powder: this is not necessary. Oats are creamy! 👉 Organic! Oats are field crops. Choose organic for a more nutrient rich product, that is not GMO and is free from pesticides. What about the macros? If you buy a product with clean ingredients, the macros should be good. Still, check 👉 that the sugar content is not above 13g/100g (from the fruits) 👉 fibre and protein should naturally between 8-12g / 100g 👉 Fat should be low, unless you have nuts and seeds in the porridge 🥣 Now you can choose your favourite toppings and enjoy a delicious, super healthy breakfast ❤️🐢 #porridge #turtlecereals #healthybreakfast #foodismylovelanguage
