In de toekomst hoef je niet raar op te kijken wanneer je een rode of zwarte Poppy-deelauto zonder bestuurder ziet passeren op de openbare weg. Ush, de D’Ieteren-dochter die zich toespitst op innovatieve mobiliteitsoplossingen, slaat de handen in elkaar met de autodeeldienst om de voertuigen van die laatste uit te rusten met technologie voor #teledriving. With the teledriving technology, customers experience the magic of car-sharing without having to walk to a car or park it again. This seamless convenience is set to attract new customers. Autonoom rijden zal in Vlaanderen stap voor stap geïntroduceerd worden. Om ons daarop voor te bereiden nemen we met Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer een actieve rol op in de taskforce die daarvoor is opgericht door de Vlaamse minister van Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken. Samen met imec en Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid willen we voertuigen die op afstand aangestuurd worden of autonoom rijden op voorhand uitgebreid testen vooraleer ze de openbare weg op gaan. Het startschot van die testen gaven we van 13 tot 16 mei op het Ford-testcircuit in Lommel. Ook Mobilidata draagt haar steentje bij: de digitale informatie wordt nu stap voor stap geïntegreerd in het op afstand aangestuurde of autonome rijproces. Zo zal onderzocht worden of de voertuigen adequaat reageren op meldingen over plotselinge gevaarlijke situaties, zoals een ongeval of ladingverlies op de weg.    Met dank aan VLAIO voor de financiële steun. #WijZijnAWV #AWV #WegenEnVerkeer
