Aujourd'hui, nous célébrons à nouveau deux figures emblématiques de notre association : Katarzyna Szkuta (PhD) et Tanja Gohlert. 🌟 Katarzyna travaille comme conseillère en politique internationale auprès du secrétaire d'État à l'égalité des sexes, à l'égalité des chances et à la diversité au sein du gouvernement fédéral témoignant ainsi de son engagement envers l’égalité et l’entraide. ✨ Tanja, quant à elle, travaille pour des organisations de la société civile mondiale pour sensibiliser et mener des actions sur les inégalités, les droits des femmes et droits humains, témoignant ainsi de son engagement envers la solidarité et le respect. ✨ Merci à Katarzyna et Tanja pour leur engagement ! Nous sommes heureuses d’avoir des femmes aussi inspirantes que vous dans la communauté W100 pour construire le Bruxelles de demain ! 💜 -- The W100 would be nothing without the women who make it up. Aujourd'hui, nous célébrons deux figures emblématiques de notre association : Loredana Marchi et Fatima Zibouh 💫. 💜 Loredana, directrice du Foyer asbl et fondatrice de Dar al Amal, est une figure emblématique de notre équipe. Reconnue pour ses actions en faveur de l'inclusion et de l'émancipation des femmes, elle travaille à #Molenbeek depuis les années 80 pour l'inclusion et l'émancipation des femmes et a reçu le titre de "femme de paix" en 2011. 🌟 De son côté, Fatima est également un modèle pour nous toutes. Doctorante en sciences politiques et sociales à l'Université de Liège, Fatima étudie les expressions culturelles des minorités ethnoculturelles. Elle est également auteure de plusieurs ouvrages sur la participation politique et la diversité culturelle.✨ Ces deux femmes incarnent les valeurs fondamentales du W100 : inclusion, passion et engagement. Today, we celebrate two emblematic figures of our association: Loredana Marchi and Fatima Zibouh. 💜   Loredana, director of Foyer ASBL and founder of Dar al Amal, is an emblematic figure in our team. Recognised for her actions in favour of the inclusion and emancipation of women, she has been working in Molenbeek since the 1980s for the inclusion and emancipation of women and was awarded the title of "Woman of Peace" in 2011. 🌟   For her part, Fatima is also a role model for us all. A doctoral student in political and social sciences at the University of Liège, Fatima studies the cultural expressions of ethnocultural minorities. She is also the author of several books on political participation and cultural diversity.✨   These two women embody the core values of W100: inclusion, passion and commitment. Il y a 10 jours, nous avons célébré le 5ème anniversaire de W100BXL ! La journée a été ponctuée de moments forts - voici un aperçu de l’après-midi. ✨ Nous avons occupé la Place De Brouckère pour célébrer et revendiquer les droits des #femmes et des filles, afin qu'elles puissent créer et profiter d'espaces publics pratiques, sûrs et joyeux. 💜 Nous avons eu la chance d'écouter des intervenants inspirants : Awatif Majid de JOB DIGNITY et #MeTooHomeless, Julie Van Garsse de Zijkant, Fatma Karali du Collectif des Mères Veilleuses et Carmen de la Molinera ainsi que les femmes de Dar al Amal. Tamara Geerts a animé l'événement avec brio en tant que maîtresse de cérémonie et chanteuse. 🙌 Ce fut un moment de joie et de célébration pour la communauté #W100. Since 2019, we have created a community of diverse women from all corners of Brussels. We connect and amplify the voices and actions of women throughout the region. We come together to build a common vision with and for all women on how to live better together in a diverse Brussels. Tomorrow, we will proudly celebrate our 5th anniversary with a day of activities to reflect on our achievements, strategize for the future and reclaim public space by and for women. What we are asking for To ensure the #safety of all women and girls, we call on the public authorities of the Brussels Capital Region to: 1. Integrate feminist and women's civil society associations into public space decision-making in a sustainable way. 2. Use #genderbudgeting and #genderanalysis for spatial planning policies, particularly for investments in public safety and economic development, to ensure women's participation and entrepreneurship. 3. Take into consideration the specific needs of women and girls belonging to vulnerable groups such as migrant women, undocumented women, racialized women, disabled women, single mothers, LGBTQI+ women, by adopting an intersectional perspective in all policies. 4. Develop and implement real prevention and police protection to end sexual and gender-based violence in public spaces. 5. Enhance "#matrimony" by naming streets after women and promoting gender-sensitive urban art. 6. Stop sexist or degrading advertising for women Encourage gender education in schools - by training principals and educational staff in equality issues - by raising parents' awareness of the education of their sons and daughters. As we gather to mark our 5th anniversary, we are not just celebrating years of hard work and dedication. We are reaffirming our commitment to a future where every woman in Brussels feels safe, heard, and empowered. Our journey together has shown that when women unite, incredible transformations happen.✨ We invite everyone to join us in these celebrations, partake in the activities, and contribute to our discussions. Let's continue to dream, strategize, and take concrete actions towards a more inclusive and equitable Brussels.
