MEET THE DESIGNER Embrace sustainable living with Design for Resilience. Founded by Vanessa COLIGNON, Design for Resilience is a textile research workshop for sustainable living. In the atelier, the team designs and knits beautiful natural and minimalist objects such as elegant, solid and Belgian household linen and accessories, to create a healthy and harmonious interior or to keep warm without heating up the planet 🌎️ Since the launch of a first flagship product: the resilient sponge, Design for Resilience has extended the home and body collection with cushions and scarves. 🌱 The studio works with two naturally eco-responsible materials: linen and hemp. Labels, threads and fabrics are fully biodegradable. Ethically and eco-responsibly made in Belgium. Vanessa benefits from a coaching grant to develop the brand abroad. 🚀 What are these grants for? WBDM coaching grants programme 2024 aims to provide design entrepreneurs with personalised expertise and advice on their international development strategy. With the support of Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI). #sustainabledesign #hometextile #hemp #linen #biodegradabletextile #sponge #cushion #scarf #sustainableliving #ecodesign

In 2024, the fashion landscape seems to be dominated by two extremes. On the one hand, luxury groups keep becoming more powerful and influential, increasing their profits and global presence. On the other, fast fashion hasn’t stopped growing, despite tangible awareness from consumers regarding ethics, environment and sustainability. This means that there isn’t much room left for mid-range fashion brands, which offer good quality at a reasonable price. In Belgium, Rue Blanche is one of them. We met Aude Regout and Astrid Regout who decided to take over the brand, founded in 1987 by their mother Marie-Chantal Regout, and bring their own expertise. ↘️Read our interview : https://lnkd.in/eCuK25bQ
