For the 23rd edition of the Vlerick Award, Xandres partnered up with the Vlerick Business School team by dressing all women. The Xandres store at Den Bosch has been a hotspot for 5 years, which called for a celebration! During a vibrant afterwork party on Friday evening among local traders, Xandres ambassadors and our team, we enjoyed good vibes, beats & bites. On Saturday, we pampered our #xandreswomen with an organic wine tasting by Pura Passione and a skin analysis by Skin Care Center Den Bosch. A confrontation with the ugly side of the fashion industry.   Xandres and 8 other Belgian fashion brands travelled to Ghana to experience the impact of 15 million garments a week on local living conditions and the environment. "What we saw, is the culmination of what is going wrong in the fashion industry" - Sustainability Manager Clio Gydé.   A ‘Charter for Responsible Chain Management in Belgian Fashion’ was drawn up and signed by the participating companies during this mission. "The brands will work to increase transparency and traceability within supply chains, respect human rights and dignified working conditions, reduce environmental impact and provide clear information to consumers." - Sustainable business expert Saartje Boutsen (Studio D)   In light of this trip, we are proud to have taken a new step towards textile-to-textile recycling for post-consumer clothing by launching the XANDRES LAB x SCIRT limited two-piece this week.   Organised by Flanders DC in collaboration with Studio D and impact entrepreneur Sven Bullaert (UMU)  Attended by Bel&Bo, Claes Retail Group (JBC, CKS Fashion and Mayerline Brussels), e5.be, Noterman Fashion (Atelier Noterman), PLUTO, Schoenen Torfs and #Xandres. CREATED BY XANDRES LAB x SCIRT  For the past three years, Xandres has been a partner in the SCIRT Project, an innovative research project on textile-to-textile recycling for post-consumer clothing. A complete recycling system was developed thanks to SCIRT, a partnership between the fashion industry and the research community. Although many challenges remain, this project shows that both natural and synthetic fibres can be reused, opening new possibilities for more sustainable fashion. After last year's successful edition, we organised our second XANDRES TALKS with the headquarter team and shopmanagers. Thanks to the insights of different departements, moderator and Marketing Manager Cheryl Krekels dived into the results and lessons learned from previous projects, as well as the challenges and ambitions for 24-25.
