Exciting #EVIDENCE news!! 🎉 The results of the #BIMAP study show that intraoperative margin assessment based on specimen PET-CT images achieves high accuracy with a mean sensitivity of 91%, specificity of 94% and minimal disruption of the surgical workflow! 💙 📹 Dr. Menekse Göker and Dr. Anne-Sofie De Crem are thrilled to share with you the outcomes of the Breast Intraoperative Margin Assessment PET-CT (#BIMAP) study conducted at Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent, in collaboration with Ospedale San Raffaele. They will climb the "Col des Saisies" in the French Alps. 🚵🏻♂️ Roel, Eva, Hagen, Dennis, Christel, Jakob and Alexander, our cycling heroes - We are very proud of you! 💙 Thanks to everyone’s support, we’ve not only met but surpassed our fundraising goal, achieving an impressive € 14.220 to support #cancer research. For every cyclist participating, we needed to raise € 2.000, and we couldn’t have done it without you. 📽️ The first XEOS AURA 10 in the UK has been delivered to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust to treat prostate cancer. Designed to reduce resurgeries and salvage radiotherapies, this mobile unit brings high-resolution molecular imaging directly to theatres and will allow surgeons to assess excised specimens in real-time using PET-CT during surgery. 🏥 The AURA 10 is already being used successfully in hospitals in Belgium and Germany, and this is the first time this radical new technology is being implemented in the UK. In our latest video, Consultant Urologist Donald McDonald and Head of Cancer Services John Elliott talk about this exciting project and what they hope it will bring to patients. 👉 Watch the latest video here or visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eMa5FM7B

Another exciting milestone for AZ Maria Middelares and XEOS in #Ghent! 🎉 After the successful start of their first study using the AURA 10 PET-CT in the operating room, we are excited to have AZ Maria Middelares joining the multicenter BrIMA study. In this study, surgeons are investigating the use of a mobile PET-CT during breast conserving surgery for the treatment of breast cancer. This study is supported by the breast surgeons and the nuclear medicine department. It is great to see such an innovative and multidisciplinary collaboration, aiming at improving patient outcomes 💙💪!

🎉 Welcome Kato Van De Wielle! Kato was inspired to join the XEOS team in July to improve care for cancer patients. Combined with her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences focusing on Medical Radiation Sciences, she is a dedicated Application Specialist supporting our AURA 10 PET-CT. In her first month, Kato has enjoyed attending surgeries and experiencing the fun office atmosphere where everyone is aiming at achieving the same goal. 🏥👩⚕️ Outside of work, Kato loves cooking and looks forward to sharing some homemade recipes 👩🍳, especially her pearl couscous with chorizo and cheese. She also enjoys dancing at concerts 💃 and staying active. Her friends call her the cheerleader because she’s always positive and encouraging. This makes her a perfect fit for supporting our AURA 10 PET-CT in the operating room 💙. Fun facts about Kato Van De Wielle: She wanted to be a journalist when she was a kid. Her guilty pleasure? A sandwich with chocolate spread and salami.🍫🥪 Her favorite thing about the AURA?
