We’re delighted to announce that Stockholm Arlanda and Ronneby airports, operated by Swedavia AB, have achieved Level 5 of Airport Carbon Accreditation! 🌍✈️ This milestone further solidifies Swedavia’s position as one of the global pioneers in aviation's decarbonisation. Swedavia remains dedicated to carbon management, with Stockholm Arlanda and Ronneby airports strengthening their third-party engagement while achieving and maintaining a ≥90% reduction in absolute CO₂ emissions for Scope 1 and 2. Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI EUROPE, said: "I am thrilled by Swedavia’s accrediting two more airports at Level 5 including Sweden’s largest hub – a truly remarkable accomplishment. By achieving and maintaining a net zero balance for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and also tackling Scope 3 emissions through strong third-party engagement, Stockholm Arlanda and Ronneby airports are now amongst the 18 pioneers worldwide to reach this level of carbon management." Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Swedavia, added: "It is really gratifying that with the certification of Arlanda and Ronneby, Swedavia has now four of its ten airports certified at the highest level within the Airport Carbon Accreditation framework. This shows that we continue to lead the way and have chosen to invest in aviation’s absolutely vital climate transition for sustainable air travel."

With the majority of its fleet already electric, Rotterdam The Hague Airport is using HVO100 fuel for the remaining vehicles — a fossil-free solution that reduces CO2 emissions by 89%! This innovative approach significantly cuts emissions, while the airport remains committed to achieving a fully electric ground operation by 2030 🎯🌍
