Industries' #heating necessities emit a lot of #CO2 🏭 😣   But the SPIRIT Horizon Europe Project can help turn things around! 😁 We plan to deploy high-temperature #heatpumps capable of reducing energy use and decarbonising the industrial sector.   We are partnering with industries in Belgium, Norway and Czechia to bring this vision to life. They will work as our #demonstrationsites for testing #fullscale prototype heat pumps and will use different technological #solutions for their heating needs. We need to accelerate the use of #renewables in heating and cooling! 🌱 Bringing together 🤝 various #energy sectors is crucial for creating a more efficient, reliable and #sustainable energy system. That’s where RHC-ETIP comes in - a platform that unites stakeholders from all the sectors with one mission 🎯: to boost the share of renewables in #heating and #cooling while phasing out fossil fuels.   Here’s how ETIP-RHC is making it happen: 🔹 Proposing ways to achieve the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan. 🔹 Continuously updating the Strategic Research and Innovation Agendas. 🔹 Identifying cross-cutting priorities and innovation barriers. 🔹 Reporting on R&I activities at European, national and industrial levels. 🔹 Developing knowledge-sharing mechanisms to accelerate the deployment of R&I results.   The platform is organised into 5 technical panels – #solar ☀ #biomass 🌳 #geothermal 🌋 #heatpump 🔄 and #DHC 🔥 and #thermalstorage 🌡 – and 4 Horizontal Working Groups (HWG).
