How to spend public resources efficiently and effectively on education? 💰👨🏫 Every year, governments in the European Union together spend some €746 billion on education in all its forms (source: Eurostat 👉 https://lnkd.in/eqjNzpsd). Despite these significant investments however, educational quality in some EU countries is stagnating. For some indicators, it even deteriorates. What’s more, little scientific knowledge exists today on how to invest scarce public resources in education as efficiently and (cost-)effectively as possible. The EFFEct Project under #HorizonEurope, coordinated by KU Leuven professor Kristof De Witte, aims to change that. The multidisciplinary research project will uncover the do’s and don’ts in education policy, based on data. A unique approach that will focus on all levels of education. Want to know more about EFFEct and the support it receives from our European and International Government Funding Unit at #LRD? 👉 Check out our article: https://lnkd.in/eJTS3MCk #backtoschool #researchvalorization #educationpolicy
