About us
The ULB-Cancer Research Centre (U-CRC) gathers laboratories and services from the Bordet Institute, the Erasme Hospital and the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium), working on various aspects of cancer research at the basic, translational and clinical levels. It aims at strengthening cancer research at the ULB by boosting interactions between its internationally renowned researchers. Currently, U-CRC contains 21 research groups working on one or more aspects of cancer research. Over 190 scientists and clinicians are working together in order to carry out research of the highest quality where basic and translational research will be conducted in close relation with clinical research for the profit of patients. The U-CRC benefits from the experience of each group in leading technologies and their acute expertise in up-to-date techniques (cellular and molecular biology, genomics, epigenetics, proteomics, immunology, bioinformatics...) The main missions of the U-CRC are to: • Stimulate and support collaborative, interdisciplinary cancer research; • Recruit world class researchers and reach recognition at worldwide level; • Develop and provide cutting-edge techniques and technologies.
