Blueberry Spinach Smoothie

an easy 4 ingredient recipe for a refreshing, healthy blueberry spinach smoothie packed with antioxidants.

Blueberries? Spinach? In November? What am I thinking? Well, I’m thinking, you could probably use some blueberries and spinach this time of year… amidst the cookie dough, keto fudge and apple crisps that are going around. (Okay, fine, those are all going around here on BB. Heehee.)

It’s just that, this time of year, I get really excited about enjoying all the holiday treats plus starting each day off with a warm bowl of oatmeal. But then… but then! I’m like, “I don’t wannna eat MORE oatmeal!!!”

I summon my best whine, I call up my best morning glare. And I stare down that container of rolled oats until it really knows who boss.

And I break out the blender. Because you can’t have oatmeal all day, everyday, ya know? 😉 So here I am, sharing my favorite healthy blueberry spinach smoothie: packed with antioxidants, packed with blueberries, and of course, packed with all the healthy spinach!

You ready to blend this? Let’s do it!

Notes

*I like to buy a bag of fresh, pre-washed spinach and throw it in the freezer. Right before adding the frozen spinach to my smoothie, I grab the bag from the freezer and measure it out. Make sure not to remove the bag from the freezer too soon, as frozen fresh spinach thaws very quickly.

Preferred milk: I like to use unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

Here’s the blender I use to make this smoothie. It’s easy to use, compact and easy to clean.
