Volleyball Club "Teteven Volley"

Our Volleyball club named "Teteven Volley ", was founded in Teteven, Bulgaria in the beginning of 2003 non –formally . We emphasize “ non -fomally “ as the real and legislative birth of the sports club is 03.07.2008, when it was founded as an Non-governmental organization and registered officially in the Ministry of Justice and the Volleyball Federation of Republic Bulgaria . Main initiators of the idea for a professional volleyball club , volleyball school and an educative NGO involved in local sports and educational activities are : Mr. Ivan Tsvetkov – a lawyer and the head of the organization , Mr. Dimcho Dikov – currently responsible for the youth activities in the Municipality of Teteven , Mr. Dimitar Naydenov – actively involved in sports and social life in the region , current coach of young players in our volleyball school and Mr. Petar Mechkarov -former player in the Bulgarian volleyball men team in the near past and currently preparing our professional team. They all believe , as everybody connected somehow with the club , that the existence of “ Teteven Volley “connects the victorious sports past , the current development of youth and the good sports and educative future for our children . The professional club , the amateur team and the children in our volleyball academy are mainly using the sports facilities of the Sports Hotel “ Olymp “ in Teteven and its sports hall named after the national hero Georgi Benkovski. These days we exist thanks to the entusiams of several people who dedicated their life to volleyball in our small town and thanks to the companies which support us ! Let us assure you we will continue working for the future development of sports , culture and youth education in our region mainly and also in Bulgaria !
