Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the first regional conference on “Education and Training Curricula for Persons with Disabilities: Effective Strategies and Practices” was officially opened by Osama Bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development. Organized by the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society headed by the founder Mr. Ahmed Al Ali in collaboration with the Centre for Academic Excellence in Scientific Services and Training, this three-day event brought together experts, specialists, and advocates from across the region. The conference aimed to showcase impactful programs and curricula for supporting persons with disabilities, address key challenges in education and training, and explore recent advancements in assistive technology. Experts shared insights on critical topics, from the current state of disability education to innovations that enhance learning accessibility. Through engaging panels, discussions, and workshops, attendees had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore integrated approaches to curriculum development. Ball Mills utilize friction and impact as their particle size reduction mechanisms. This results in effective pulverization and intensive mixing; heat is generated during the grinding process and pressure inside the grinding jar increases. The capability to monitor pressure and temperature assists in providing vital insights for the grinding process be it colloidal or long-term grinding process, and even in the case of mechanochemistry. Our Partner Retsch facilitates the measurements through their software Grind Control The Grind Control software is a small and intuitive program, that can be easily installed on the computer. The software records and stores the transmitted data of pressure and temperature. The data is monitored in real time during a measurement and can be exported in .pdf or .csv format after the measurement. More software features: • Monitoring the status of the transmitter unit like the on/ off-status or battery status • Save measurement data together with parameters like sample name, instrument settings or filling degree of the jar. • Manage all recorded measurements. • Select a resolution for the measurements, e.g. 50 mbar and 1 °C. • Select unit for temperature and pressure display. So Why does Monitoring Matter? 👌🏻Quality: Temperature and pressure significantly affect the final product's quality. Monitoring these variables ensures top-notch results. ⚙️ Efficiency: Temperature development influences the grinding outcome. By monitoring the actual temperature, we ensure optimal processing conditions. 🦺 Safety: High temperatures and pressures can be dangerous. Monitoring helps keep the process within safe limits. ⚠️Error Detection: Sudden changes in temperature or pressure can indicate issues. Continuous monitoring allows for early detection and quick correction. By focusing on these aspects, we can improve the overall performance and safety of our ball milling processes.
