Biproduct is a collaboration between producer Jason Tucker and visual artist Tyler Hallett. During their improvised live sets, the duo abuse an array of analog and digital hardware to conjure a subversive industrial atmosphere, hard techno grooves, and avant-garde visual processing.
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Jason and Tyler have created art and music under numerous banners and organized events since the early 2000’s. In 2019, the two channeled their DIY ethics and the radical politics which inform their work to create SPL, a record label and event planning team with fellow Boston resident, Matt Bond (Octalisk, Thanatropics). The first wave of SPL releases is slated for December 2020, including remixes by Crmbl and Soren Roi.
For Biproduct, sound and message are of equal importance. Through their artwork, vocal samples, and film montages, they explore themes of power, control, repression, and gentrification. For those navigating the rebellious nature of punk and metal, as well as the often emotionless world of techno, Biproduct strikes a refreshingly loud, clear - and unapologetically antifascist - balance.
