As Bacardi celebrates 163 years this week, we’re taking a trip down memory lane this #throwbackthursday to see the evolution of the rum that started it all: BACARDÍ® Superior. It was this smooth, light-bodied, mixable rum that our Founder Don Facundo Bacardí Massó first introduced in 1862 and went on to forever change the way rum was made and enjoyed. Journey back in time to see the oldest known bottle label from our historical archives dating back to 1909, and the bottle’s progression to the present day. Though its appearance has changed with the times, the rum inside is still crafted with the same level of care as it was when Don Facundo made it.
