Colleagues from our London office volunteered with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) as part of the incredible work of the Lancashire Foundation. The 12-strong team spent two days in the Peak District with the BMC assisting their activities with the National Trust. The volunteers tackled overgrown rhododendrons and ferns to encourage other species to thrive and ensure that visitors have a safe and enjoyable time in the stunning national park. #The British Mountaineering Council

Lancashire's Group Head of Claims Steve Yeo completed the iconic London to Brighton Cycle Ride at the weekend – helping raise more than £6,000 for charity. Steve was part of a team taking part in the 55-mile ride from Clapham Common to Brighton to support Child Bereavement UK. Senior underwriter Tom Gowan raised more than £2,300 after a gruelling 11-hour Iron Man competition. He was raising funds for Stop Hate UK, one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of hate crime and discrimination. Tom took part in the event, in Copenhagen, finishing the 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride, and marathon in 11 hours, 31 minutes and 39 seconds.
