As part of this year’s AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews, our programming activities took place across several tracks, including the Women’s Leadership Forum. We welcomed high-potential insurance industry professionals for networking opportunities, career development and thoughtful conversations across a range of important business topics. The Women’s Leadership Forum is a signature program that highlights one of AIG’s core values of being an ally to women in sports, business and society more broadly, and we were delighted to host the next generation of insurance industry leaders during Championship week! #AIGWO #AIGAllies

It was great to join Grant Boone and NBC at the 2024 AIG Women’s Open for a sit-down interview on Championship Sunday. AIG aims to make the AIG Women’s Open a uniquely compelling major championship in women’s golf, and to set a new standard to recognize and support these elite golfers. Grant and I talked about the growth of the women’s game and how exciting it has been to watch these exceptional athletes play the final major of the year at legendary St Andrews. Championship week during the AIG Women’s Open is an opportunity for AIG to demonstrate our allyship not only to women in sports, but to also highlight women leaders in business and society.   We had an engaging conversation with two inspiring and accomplished leaders, Caroline Krass, General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Defense and Courtney Leimkuhler, Co-Founder of Springbank about topics and issues of interest to our clients and partners from around the world who joined us at St Andrews. Courtney provided insights into how her venture firm, Springbank, is investing in ideas and solutions to advance equity in the workplace of the future, and Caroline shared her unique perspective as a female leader on the global environment and the pressing geo-political issues shaping our world.    Thank you, Caroline and Courtney for being a part of Championship week.    #AIGWO #AIGAllies

As the world's top women golfers gather at St Andrews for the AIG Women’s Open, I reflect on AIG’s partnership with The R&A since 2019 and what we have accomplished so far.   Together with Martin Slumbers, CEO of The R&A, we have created a high quality experience and a high quality major Championship. Each year, we host the AIG Women’s Open at different premiere golf courses, and we continually build on our learnings to make each Championship bigger, better and its own unique experience.   At the AIG WO press conference, Martin reflected, “With AIG coming on board as sponsor and the outstanding backing we have received from Peter and his team, we have been able to achieve a step change and take this Championship to new levels. There are many metrics which we can use to measure this progress and I hope you would agree that the staging of the Championship, the player and fan experience, the enhancement of the spectator village and the addition of the Saturday evening concert have been significant steps forward. Prize money has also tripled in the time since we began our partnership with AIG in 2019.”   #AIGWO

During this week’s AIG Women’s Open at Scotland’s historic Old Course at St Andrews, I sat down with Co-Chair of Pebble Beach Company and President of Globicon Heidi Ueberroth for a fireside chat about recent trends in women’s professional sports. The industry has continued to witness a rise in momentum, and Heidi noted that the growing popularity of female athletes reflects business’s focus on diversity.   “There has always been great talent in women’s sports, and many are now seeing value in this space,” Heidi added.   AIG shared a vision with The R&A six years ago to make the AIG Women’s Open the highest quality Major in women’s golf. We’ve made significant progress, but we are not done yet.   #AIGWO #AIGAllies
