This week the #ghgt17 conference will take place in Alberta, Canada. As part of our innovative roots, Hovyu B.V. is constantly engaged in improving our #co2capture knowledge, and therefore providing industry with better services. We have several active R&D projects. We are proud to be presenting the results of two of them: the SCOPE and DRIVE Projects. Hovyu is co-author in two oral presentations: In session 5A, Jeff Weinfeld from Optimized Gas Treating, Inc. will be presenting "Development and plant validation of a CESAR1 solvent model with an emphasis on water wash conditions" In session 9A, Peter Moser from RWE will be presenting "Demonstration of highest capture rates for deep removal - Pilot plant test with CO2 capture rates from 98% to >99.9% with an AMP/PZ-based solvent", A collaboration from colleagues also from TNO The conference agenda can be accessed here: https://lnkd.in/drb8F36U Looking forward to see you there.

Early this week, we participated in the DRIVE Project meeting hosted by RWE. The results of the demonstration of with high #co2capture rates (>98%) using CESAR1 were presented and discussed, as well as the progress of the development of electro-chemical process to capture #co2. Among these, our own technology ZEUS (see more on our website www.hovyu.com) It was exciting to see the amount of work done in less the one year of project. Thanks RWE for hosting this amazing meeting, and to all partners (Cemex, IDMEC, iED - Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, TNO, TotalEnergies, Eindhoven University of Technology, SSE plc, Heriot-Watt University) for this amazing collaboration.

Meet our #co2capture mobile #pilotplant. Our pilot can be used to test the performance of solvents using real flue gases. This allows stakeholders to de-risk the implementation of #co2 capture processes on their sites. The pilot is constructed in a container making it easier to transport, mount and perform the tests. The small scale pilot allow a swiftly and economically deployment of the pilot in several industrial sites. Fully automated, this pilot can test solvents such as MEA and CESAR1 using full height (so direct comparison to full scale process is possible). Possibilities to test intercooling (at different heights), different absorber heights and aerosol mitigation techniques are possible. We also use this pilot to demonstrate our Hyperion technology, an advanced capture process and solvent able to reduce the overall costs of CO2 capture.
