Triple victory at the International Architecture Awards   The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies have just announced the winning projects in their International Architecture Award (IAA) 2024. This year we are happy to announce that among them are no less than three IDOM works: the sports center in Tarbes, awarded in the Sports and recreation category, and the new AGUR headquarters and the parking facility in Nantes, both with honorable mention.   The IAAs, now in their 19th edition, are the oldest international awards and among the most prestigious recognizing the quality of projects worldwide.   In 2024, the awards received more than 850 entries.   The official awards gala will be held on September 21 at the Acropolis. In parallel, an exhibition of the winning projects will be inaugurated on September 20 at the Contemporary Space Athens. Cette année, nous sommes heureux d'annoncer que parmi eux figurent pas moins de trois œuvres d'IDOM : le centre sportif de Tarbes, récompensé dans la catégorie Sports et loisirs, et le nouveau siège et parking de l'AGUR à Nantes, tous deux avec une mention honorable. Les IAA, qui en sont à leur 19e édition, sont les prix internationaux les plus anciens et les plus prestigieux qui reconnaissent la qualité des projets à l'échelle mondiale. En 2024, les prix ont reçu plus de 850 candidatures. Le gala officiel de remise des prix aura lieu le 21 septembre à l'Acropole. Parallèlement, une exposition des lauréats sera inaugurée le 20 septembre à l'Espace contemporain d'Athènes. IDOM Social Group delivers a school supply kit for students in Bawada (India)   IDOM Social Group in collaboration with the Indian association TARA PROJECTS (Trade Alternative Reform Action) has delivered a school supply kit for students from 14 to 17 years old in the region of Bawada (India). The kit contains a backpack, reusable water bottle, lunch box, calculator, pencils and other school supplies. HIMANSHU VERMA, head of the India office, participated in this event.   IDOM Social Group has agreed a one-year partnership with this association to finance an educational project for 50 students, aged 14 to 17, in the Badarpur and Bawada areas. 430 million euro financing for the "Basque Y" ADIF-Alta Velocidad and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have signed a €430 million loan agreement to complete the construction of the Vitoria-Bilbao-San Sebastián High-Speed Line, known as the "Basque Y". As part of this project, IDOM is currently responsible for drafting the studies and designs for the transformation of the Abando-Indalecio Prieto Station in Bilbao, ensuring the arrival of high-speed services and urban integration. Nuestros compañeros Cristián Andrés Valdés Hernández y Pablo Hidalgo Galvez compartieron experiencias del Puerto de Barcelona, destacando la importancia de la sostenibilidad en terminales portuarias. Our colleagues Cristián Andrés Valdés Hernández and Pablo Hidalgo Galvez shared experiences from the Port of Barcelona, highlighting the importance of sustainability in port terminals. More than 150 attendees joined to promote cleaner and more efficient transportation in Chile. 🚢🌱

We strengthen ties with Stanford In 2013 we signed a collaboration agreement with the Stanford Program in Madrid to receive students from the prestigious university as interns in our offices. Last June, our colleagues Manuel Andrades Castro and Ana Román participated in a breakfast organised by Stanford University at its International Institute (c/ Miguel Ángel, 8) with the supervisors of the different companies and organisations with which it collaborates. The objective? To set goals, strengthen relationships and analyse possible areas for improvement in the field of internships that allow young students to learn first-hand about the day-to-day work environment in Spain. An opportunity to network and reflect on their students experiences in internships and volunteering, as well as on the differences and similarities between cultures. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Estrechamos lazos con Stanford En 2013 firmamos un acuerdo de colaboración con Stanford Program in Madrid para recibir a alumnos de la prestigiosa universidad en prácticas en nuestras oficinas. El pasado mes de junio, nuestros compañeros Manuel Andrades Castro y Ana Román participaron en un desayuno organizado por Stanford University en su Instituto Internacional (c/ Miguel Ángel, 8) con los supervisores de las diferentes empresas y organizaciones con las que colabora. ¿El objetivo? Marcar objetivos, estrechar relaciones y analizar posibles puntos de mejora en el ámbito de las prácticas laborales que permiten a los jóvenes estudiantes conocer de primera mano cómo es el día a día dentro del entorno laboral en España. Una oportunidad para hacer networking y reflexionar sobre las experiencias de sus alumnos en prácticas y voluntariado y sobre diferencias y similitudes entre culturas.

Muy contentos de recibir el "Premio a la excelencia en consultoría de proyectos" en el XXI Congreso Internacional de Infraestructura Vial organizado por el ICG - Instituto de la Construcción y Gerencia en Lima, Perú. El 16 y 17 de agosto, IDOM participó en este importante congreso, donde nuestros compañeros Jose Ignacio Peñas Garcia, William Penagos y Jonathan Andres Farias Riquelme presentaron proyectos clave en Paraguay y Perú. Estas ponencias reflejan nuestro compromiso con la innovación y la mejora continua en el sector de la infraestructura vial. El congreso contó también con la participación de autoridades del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones, quienes presentaron los proyectos más relevantes de infraestructura vial del Perú, como la Nueva Carretera Central, el Anillo Vial Periférico y la Vía Expresa Santa Rosa, entre otros. The main purpose of this date is to highlight the value of humanitarian workers, who play a crucial role in the welfare of millions of people around the world. In IDOM Social Group we work together with many NGOs, and therefore, with their workers. At the moment, we are collaborating with the associations #TARA in India, KUKUA Community Projects in East Africa Tanzania, dalecandELA org in Spain and we have collaborated with SALUGANDA ELKARTEA in Uganda, Fundacion Quipu Ainy and Fundación FdF in Colombia.
