#KCB welcomes our newest hire to the Calgary office. Colin Schmidt, M.E.Sc., P.Eng. is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a background in a wide variety of geotechnical engineering disciplines. He graduated from Western University in London, Ontario with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2012, and a Master’s Degree in 2015. Colin began his career working on geotechnical and environmental site investigations in Toronto before transferring to Calgary to explore Western Canada. Over the past ten years, he has developed a robust skill set, specializing in tailings management and dam safety for tailings storage facilities (TSFs) across Canada, with an additional background in trenchless and tunnelling installations. Colin is eager to leverage his experience in mining and dam safety to meet new challenges and drive innovative solutions with KCB.
