We are proud to announce that our plant in Joinville, Brazil, which manufactures Embraco compressors, is the first factory of the Nidec Group to achieve the mark of carbon-neutral operations. ACIM (Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors), the Nidec Business Unit we are part of, has set the target to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2030, and we made it in this plant 6 years ahead. On this special day, we want to recognize the importance, presence, knowledge and contributions of the women in our 8 R&D centers around the world! Our female engineers are at the forefront, driving the innovation and technology that power our products. In 2024, the World Environment Day has a special meaning for us. This year, ACIM, the Nidec Corporation’s business unit we are part of, has set the goal to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030, a commitment that is ours as well, involving our 12 factories around the world. Being a carbon-neutral company means that the total carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions emitted by the company's operations are balanced by an equivalent amount of CO2 being removed from the atmosphere. This is achieved by reducing emissions and offsetting those remaining. It is part of our daily routine to actively reduce our carbon footprint by improving energy efficiency and we are counting on efforts from many areas, which are connected in this quest.  From now on, with a clear goal to be achieved, our journey towards sustainability enters a new pace. #NidecGA #Sustainability #SustainableSolutions #SustainableFuture
