🔬✨ REDUCING COMPLEXITY IN VIDEO TRANSCODERS ✨🔬 Today, we are pleased to share a summary of an interview with two of our exceptional researchers, Alex Borges and Caroline Camargo. They are leading the research on video transcoding here at ViTech. But what is transcoding? It is the process of converting video files, adjusting characteristics such as resolution and image quality, or switching between different encoding formats (see more details in our previous post). The main goal of Alex and Caroline is to optimize this process, making it faster and more energy-efficient without sacrificing visual quality or user experience. ⚙️ To learn more, check out Alex Borges' Ph.D. thesis, which is available at: https://lnkd.in/gXvukfAs #ViTech #VideoCoding #Innovation #Technology #Transcoding #Research
