Employee Spotlight: Today, we celebrate Michel!👑 Michel has been a cornerstone of the team at Odyssey Aviation Nassau for 28 years! 🙌 His dependability, steadfast loyalty, and exemplary work ethic are beyond reproach. He is also one of the original seven employees, as Michel was part of the construction crew that built the facility in 1996, using his skills as a carpenter even before the facility opened as an FBO . ✈👏 Michel is a Fully Certified, Line Service Technician, and you’ll only be acquainted with Michel if you have visited Odyssey Nassau. Pilots frequently commend his attentive care and eagerness to meet the needs of their crews. Whether he's unloading cargo, fueling aircraft, or handling other Line Service duties, Michel consistently goes the extra mile and exceeds customer expectations. 😊 A skilled mechanic, he's always quick to help with any car problems, making him a go-to resource for both colleagues and visitors alike. He is also a devoted family man who loves his church and community. Saturday, August 10th, Odyssey Aviation Bahamas and General Aviation Centre - GAC Nassau, in collaboration with The Bahamas General Aviation Pilots Association (BGAPA), hosted a Customer Appreciation and Community Give-Back event at the Morgan's Bluff Regatta Site in Andros. 🏝 This initiative was a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for the continued support and loyalty from the people of Andros towards our operations. 💕 The event featured refreshments and the distribution of school backpacks filled with supplies for the local children. The joy on the children's faces and their outpouring of thanks as they received their backpacks was truly heartwarming, and their excitement made the event even more special for everyone involved. 🤗 It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and community spirit, and a wonderful time was had by all! 😀 GAC Station Manager, Racquel Hinds, expressed her delight, stating, “The Give-Back Initiative was a resounding success once again! We made a promise last year to make this an annual event, recognizing that as a corporate partner, it’s initiatives like these that truly build communities.” The genuine appreciation from the people of Andros, especially the children who were at the heart of this initiative, made this a truly rewarding experience for our management team. We remain committed to continuing our humanitarian efforts and supporting the broader Bahamian community. We’re proud to shine the spotlight on Mr. Wensil Smith, better known as "CAT," who has been an invaluable part of the Odyssey Aviation team at our Great Exuma location (MYEF) since September 2017. When Wensil joined Odyssey, he had no prior experience in Aviation Line Service. Today, he’s a master of his craft, efficiently handling all tasks with precision and care. From marshalling aircraft and positioning them on the ramp to connecting/disconnecting ground power, towing, fueling, and servicing equipment, he has become a versatile and skilled professional in all aircraft ground handling skills.
