The program was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of MoICE and the Indian Ambassador to Bhutan, reaffirming the commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in Bhutan. As a key initiative leading up to the National Startup Weekend, the boot camp equipped participants with essential tools to build sustainable startup communities and drive economic growth. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 The Loden Foundation, in collaboration with Save the Children Bhutan and Impact Hub Thimphu, organized the Basic Social Entrepreneurship (BSE) Training to empower community-led organizations in building sustainable businesses with social impact. The training was held in Paro from March 3 to 7, 2025, with participants from Pride Bhutan, Chithuen Phendhey Association (CPA), and Lhak-Sam. The program equipped participants with the skills needed to establish social enterprises that ensure the sustainability of critical HIV services in their communities. Topics covered included Social Entrepreneurship & Social Impact, along with guidance on developing business proposals for financing opportunities. This initiative is part of the Sustainability of HIV Services for Key Population in Southeast Asia (SKPA 2) implemented by Save the Children Bhutan in partnership with Loden Foundation and Impact Hub Thimphu. SKPA 2 is funded by Global Fund and Health Equity Matters (HEM) is the principal recipient of the fund The project focuses on fostering financial resilience through social enterprises, enabling communities to address immediate needs while building long-term, sustainable solutions that support their growth and well-being. The gathering was attended by Françoise Pommaret, President of the association and Trustee of the Loden Foundation, along with Gérard Tardy, Co-Founder of the Loden Entrepreneurship Programme and Trustee of the Foundation. For many years, Fonds de dotation Loden Initiatives has been an unwavering pillar of support for the Loden Foundation, nurturing deep and meaningful connections between Bhutan and France.
