During fieldwork in southeast Alberta, 3 Peaks Environmental encountered the iconic Butze grain elevator. Built in the 1920s for the Alberta Wheat Pool, this weathered wooden structure tells a tale of agricultural heritage. Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs) play a crucial role in evaluating landscapes, soil profiles, and vegetation growth at reclaimed well or facility sites and access roads. DSAs are conducted in support of reclamation certificate applications and it's a time sensitive process. Right-of-way (RoW) reclamation at its finest! These two photos were snapped from nearly the same spot, just a few weeks apart. During the initial growing season, assessing the RoW becomes a trusty gauge of reclamation success on previously disturbed lands. 3 Peaks Environmental is committed to post-construction monitoring (PCM), pinpointing any lingering environmental concerns and suggesting corrective actions as needed.
