Non-profit Organizations

We create opportunities to help build the youth for their future while playing the sport they love.

About us

The 44 Hoops was founded in 2014 by Professional Basketball Player and Serial Entrepreneur Andrew Nicholson to support and serve our community through Education and Sport. Since 2014, 44 Hoops has impacted over 1,200 youth in Peel Region through high-level basketball skills camps. In 2020, the pandemic forced the organisation to continue developing the youth thru non-contact methods, which led us to go virtual. Our virtual strategy led us to online tutoring to continue the progress of our communities’ development. Whether in person or virtual, 44 Hoops continued to embody one of our 4 Fours: “Education.” In 2023, we realised that focusing on the Student-Athlete would bring overall success to our community. We launched our newest program,” Buckets and Books,” to help support this initiative.
